New sermon series starts Sunday! Have you ever regretted doing something in a half-hearted way? Not fully investing in a relationship? Failing to engage a unique opportunity? Slacking off at work? Have you known that regret of “what might have been”? In this sermon series, we will explore Paul’s letter to the Philippian church. In writing to these followers of Christ, Paul celebrates the fact that they were “all in”—they were Paul’s partners in the gospel. At Hershey Free, we define being “all in” as the journey of living with Jesus, loving like Jesus, and leading others to do the same. As we prepare for fall, this series will invite us to be “all in” as we follow Jesus together.

The Back-to-School Event is soon approaching on Sunday, August 11 at Downey Elementary School, and we are still looking for volunteers! We have been partnering with school staff and families at this Harrisburg school and will be working with Kingdom Youth Ministry. The event runs from 12-4 PM, and we are looking for people to help coordinate attendees, serve food, distribute items, face paint, and various other needs. CORE students begin their VBS program at the Downey Elementary School in Harrisburg today. Pray that the students understand new and creative ways to serve our broader communities, for full engagement in the mission trip, and that many Downey students will attend the VBS.
On this day we'd like to take a minute to show appreciation for the men in each of our lives who have helped us to grow and mature, both physically and spiritually. Whether that be father, grandfather, uncle, teacher, mentor, or friend—thank you!
It's been one year since we launched the Local Impact Fund for Transformation (LIFT). In the past year, we've given out 19 LIFT grants. Here's a sampling of how those funds have been used.
